Rory is a seasoned business leader with over 28 years of experience in various domains, including digital, marketing, innovation, and sustainability. As the Chief Strategy Officer at EIS Ltd, a global provider of engineering and technology solutions, he oversees the strategic direction and growth of the company, ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, and values of the organization.

Rory is passionate about creating safer, smarter, and more self-sufficient ecosystems that benefit people, businesses, and the environment. He leverages his expertise in strategy, sustainability, and humanity to advise and consult with various stakeholders, from start-ups to private equity firms, on how to achieve positive social and environmental impact. He also served as a board trustee and founder of Digital Poverty UK, a charity that aimed to bridge the digital divide and empower millions of people and families across the UK during the pandemic.

Technology and the world of digital services has advanced at such a rapid rate that many of us take for granted the ease and convenience with which it allows us to go about our daily lives. However millions of people and families across the UK are getting left behind.

11.3 million adults lack essential digital skills"* for life and work. The impact of this means tasks such as booking a virtual GP appointment, online shopping or managing online banking are simply not an option. 1.8m children are unable to remotely access online education. And so on.

The ever increasing gap in digital literacy across the UK only works to increase the inequality we see in our society and puts so many at an unfair disadvantage. We are creating a new underclass.
